How To Brand a Category

In VIDIZMO, you can brand categories to customize their appearance with thumbnails, backgrounds, banners, and custom CSS. This elevates your portal's overall branding experience.

Prerequisites​

Ensure you belong to a group with Category and Portal Management features enabled, or have a CAL that grants these permissions.

Enable Category Branding​

  1. Select the navigation menu.
  2. Expand Admin.
  3. Select Portal Settings.
  4. Expand Library.
  5. Select Categories.
  6. Select the settings icon on the category you want to brand.
  7. In the Category Settings modal, select Allow Category Branding.
  8. Select Update.

Configure Category Branding​

  1. Select Add Category to brand a new category, or select Edit on an existing category.
  2. Select the Branding tab.
  3. Configure the branding options as needed:

Upload Thumbnail​

Select Choose File in the thumbnail section to upload a category thumbnail.

  • Supported formats: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif
  • Recommended dimensions: 600 x 600 pixels

Background Image​

Select Choose File in the background section to upload a background image.

  • Supported formats: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif
  • Recommended dimensions: 2560 x 1440 pixels

Upload a banner image directly or input code in the editor. In the Banner section, you can add text and incorporate an image by selecting the overflow menu.

Custom CSS​

Write custom CSS to brand your category. For details, see Understanding Customized Branding in VIDIZMO.

  1. Select Update to save your changes.

The branding configurations appear on both the Playback and category pages. To view the changes, navigate to the category homepage from your Portal Homepage or select the category in Media Manager.
